I’m so happy you’ve found your way to Le Blog, your new favorite resource for all your CRM-related questions. I’m Chloe, a client experience strategist, here to spill the tea on Dubsado’s newest update: Dubsado 3.0, which launches November 17, 2025.
If you’re a current Dubsado user, or you’ve been eyeing it up for the past year or so (I see you), you’ll want to be informed about all the changes going on behind the scenes. This update makes changes to navigation, visuals, and, yes, the price. Keep reading to learn what’s changing and how it will impact your day-to-day tasks!
Dubsado 3.0 isn’t just an internal update; it’s a complete user interface overhaul that touches every aspect of the platform. This means the software runs faster, smoother, and updates will roll out much quicker.
But that’s just the beginning. Instead of categories like “Reports,” “Templates,” and “Utilities,” with endless subcategories that don’t always make sense… Dubsado 3.0 simplifies things into six main categories in the left sidebar: Messages, Events, Tasks, Invoicing, Forms and Forms. They’ll have subcategories, too, of course, but they’re much easier to follow and navigate. Each section gets its own color theme, too, which will make my color-coded girlies very happy. (There will likely be even more tabs on the sidebar to make navigation easier, but they’re still rolling out updates!)
Let’s break down these changes and how they’ll impact your daily usage, shall we?
Instead of being buried, email management is now front and center. You can easily categorize your messages into Inbox, Sent, and Archive folders. You can start a message in your inbox, click into another section of your app to check on the project details, and keep writing your email from exactly where you are! Less switching between tabs = more time saved.
You can finally schedule messages in advance, reassign emails between projects, and use Dubsado’s built-in canned email templates (and if you don’t like those, I can write them for you!). All in all, the messaging system will be far more streamlined and adaptable, and I am here for it.
Do you prefer a weekly, monthly, or daily view of your calendar? Well, now you can choose. The Dubsado 3.0 calendar also comes with an updated search tool to help you find the exact event you’re looking for, several new keyboard shortcuts, and the ability to edit events right in the calendar. It’s going to be so much easier to manage your availability, and the new system will keep everything on track (yes, even those pesky cancellations) without you needing to manually change everything.
Invoicing got a facelift, too. No more digging through projects to find each individual invoice (say, thank you, Dubsado!). Now you can manage invoices, packages, payment plans, and discounts all in one place. Not to mention a new ability to filter by payment status and choose between a list and board view!
You can now edit autopay without interrupting the schedule, integrate time tracking tools, and give your clients more flexibility without sacrificing your own consistent income.
Say it with me: Full Customization. Find the layout that works best for you. Use the table format, or the Kanban board. Customize your workspace so you can find everything you need exactly when you need it.
Flows, previously known as workflows, didn’t just get a new name. It got a new, node-based visual design which will help you see exactly what’s happening at every step. More clarity for you and your clients.
This is a huge update, and it does come with a substantial price increase. But here’s one very important thing to note: all current Dubsado users will lock in their existing pricing. This is huge, especially compared to other CRMs (looking at you, HoneyBook) that have raised prices across the board for both new and existing users, causing major pushback and even driving users away from the platform.
But if you’re not a current Dubsado user, here’s the price change we’re looking at.
Current Starter Plan: $20/month or $200/year
Current Premier Plan: $40/month or $400/year
New Starter Plan: $35/month or $335/year
New Premier Plan: $55/month or $525/year
If you’re running the numbers in your head right now, don’t panic. Yes, that’s a nearly $250 increase per year, BUT ☝️ Dubsado’s Black Friday sale runs from November 24th 9 am PT through December 1st 3 pm PT. They’ve been iterating and overhauling since spring to get it right. Give yourself a few weeks to adapt, and you’ll find the new system is faster, cleaner, and significantly more intuitive. I wouldn’t say this if I didn’t believe it. I truly believe that Dubsado 3.0 is going to make your everyday life simpler and easier. And isn’t that the whole reason we use CRMs?
