Well, hello there, darling!
Welcome to Le Blog. I’ve dedicated this space to helping creative business owners and wedding professionals understand and perfect their business systems. I’m here to help you save time, create flawless automations, and develop deeper, richer, and more fulfilling relationships with your clients.
But before we get into that, I feel a little awkward. See, I know a lot about you, but you know almost nothing about me.
A huge part of working with me means getting to know each other. And not just the first date questions like, “Oh, what do you do for fun?.” I’m talking about the “How many kids do you want” and “How close are you with your parents” types of questions.
Don’t worry, this isn’t like therapy. Or, well, it’s exactly like therapy… just for your business.
If we’re going to work together, you’ll need to tell me alllllll about starting your wedding business. So it’s only fair that you learn about me and mine!
My name is Chloe, and I’m the owner of It’s Chloe G. As a Client Experience Strategist for some of the top wedding creatives in the field, I help people like you streamline their admin tasks through custom-designed CRM (client relationship management) systems and elevate your client experience from inquiry to offboarding and everything in between.
…in fact, I didn’t even know what a client experience strateg9st was. Except, I kinda did. I just didn’t know that it had a name.
Story time:
The first thing you need to know about me is that I love Disney. And I mean I LOVE Disney. I worked at Walt Disney World (that’s the Florida one) for six years, and the number one thing I learned in those six years is how important client experience is for business.
People don’t spend thousands of dollars to go to the Disney parks because there are cool rides and half-decent food. You can find rides and food at any amusement park in the country. No, millions of people flock to the Disney parks each year because Disney creates a remarkably unique – and dare I say magical – experience.
Working at Disney showed me how necessary a positive guest (or, ahem, client) experience is. If someone has a good experience, they feel safe, seen, cared for, and prioritized. And when they feel all these things, they want to return. They want the people they love to have the same experience. They remember it fondly for years to come.
Maya Angelou said it best. “People will forget what you said. People will forget what you did. But people will never forget how you made them feel.”
But how did an obsession with Disney lead me to become a Client Experience Strategist for wedding businesses? Great question. It involves a college kid working two jobs, a global pandemic, and a stroke of fate.
There I was in January 2020, bright-eyed and excited with my Event Management degree in hand. I had spent the last four years of uni working part-time at Disney and part-time as a Starbucks barista.
Now that I had my degree, I fully expected to work full-time with Disney. And not just work at Disney… I wanted to work with Disney Weddings and create incredible, magical events for lovers of all kinds. I mean, that’s why I got my Event Management degree in the first place!
And maybe that would have happened… if the Covid-19 pandemic hadn’t shut down the world – and lost me not just one, but both of my jobs.
Like most of the world, I was at a loss. What was I going to do? How was I going to pay rent? How was I going to stay sane?
One night, I was scrolling TikTok (as one does when the world is ending) and saw a video about being a Virtual Assistant. I immediately dove into research, purchased an online course, and launched my own VA business.
I enjoyed working as a VA, but I felt like there was more I could be doing than answering repetitive emails and checking boxes off a to-do list. So, after a year in business as a VA (and a year of teaching myself how to use CRM systems like Honeybook and Dubsado), I took another course on niching down. I learned how to pick one area of expertise and perfect it.
Guess what I became an expert in. That’s right, darling. Saving time and money. Or, rather, automating your systems so your business runs smoother, looks better, and gives your client the best expeirence ever. (Which, ya know, saves you time and money).
Creating custom CRM setups is a combination of everything I love: streamlined tech systems, simple automations, branded aesthetics, and overall enhanced client experiences.
I’m in paradise.
If the first thing you need to know about me is my love for Disney, the second thing you need to know about me is that I am an experience girlie.
I believe the greatest things in life are the things we experience. Not things we own. Not things we hang on walls or in our closets. Life is made richer by the things we experience, the lessons we learn, and the relationships we build.
That’s why I love to travel. I want to experience new things, try new food, and meet new people. Heck, that’s even why I love good drinks! Because taking your first sip of a smooth, dark blend with the perfect amount of cream and sugar is, in my opinion, a truly divine experience.
So it makes sense that I ended up in an experience-based industry!
As a wedding pro, you know how important it is for your clients to have a good experience. It is their wedding day, after all.
As a photographer, it’s your job to not only capture important moments but also make your couple feel comfortable in front of the camera.
As a wedding planner, your job is to give your clients peace of mind and allow them to be fully present during their wedding celebration.
As a hair and makeup artist, or as a dress stylist, or as a bridal attendant, it is your job to make sure your celebrant feels absolutely drop-dead gorgeous as they walk down the aisle.
Your clients aren’t just paying you for your service. They are paying you for the experience you give them.
But – and here’s the cincher – that experience starts longgggg before the actual wedding day.
Think about the back end of your business. How easy are you to get a hold of? Do your emails and communications show that you’re trustworthy? How quickly do you respond? Are your forms easy to complete? Are your deadlines clear?
Maybe you are totally on top of all of these things! And if so, you probably keep your phone volume all the way up – even while you eat dinner with your partner – so you never miss a message from a client.
Or maybe you struggle with staying on top of your workload. It can feel impossible to answer every single question – especially during busy season when your attention is required elsewhere.
I get it.
THIS is why I created It’s Chloe G. I wanted to help wedding pros like you create seamless experiences for your clients. But I also wanted to help you create systems that elevate your experience as a wedding business owner.
Because yes, a HUGE part of running a business is about the way your client experiences working with you. But the other part of running a business? It’s about the way you, as a business owner, experience life!
My goal is to elevate both experiences. I want your clients to feel cared for every step of the way – and I want you to feel like the calm, collected, confident business owner you are!
So there you have it! That is the story of It’s Chloe G. That is how a college kid working two jobs turned into a business owner who travels all over the world. I went from not knowing that a client experience manager was a thing to showing every business owner why they need one.
